In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top news and magazine apps on the Android platform in Poland demonstrated varying trends in downloads and active user engagement. Here is an overview of their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Breaking News: Local & Alerts saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 32.9K in early November. Active users also surged during this period, reaching a high of around 143.6K. Despite fluctuations, the app maintained a strong user base with active users stabilizing around 118.8K by the end of December.

NewsBreak: Local News & Alerts experienced a steady upward trend in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads grew from 102 in early October to a peak of 5.1K in the last week of December. Similarly, active users increased significantly, starting from 16 and reaching 7.6K by the end of the quarter.

Onet – wiadomości, pogoda, spo had a varied performance in terms of downloads, which saw a spike towards the end of the quarter, peaking at 2.7K in the final week of December. Active users also showed an increase, climbing from 6.1K in late October to approximately 8.7K by mid-December.

People's Daily showed significant growth in downloads starting from November, with a peak of 4.9K in the last week of November. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at around 2.2K at the end of November before stabilizing around 957 by the end of December.

SQUID - News & Magazines had a consistent performance throughout the quarter. Downloads saw a significant increase towards the end of December, reaching 2.8K in the last week. Active users also remained relatively stable, starting at 7.1K in late September and ending at 7.1K in the final week of December.
